Military Service

• Constructed as a PT-13D by Boeing, it was designed to dual standards: PT-13D for the USAAF and N2S-5 for the US Navy.
• In 1942, it was taken on strength by the United States Army Air Force with serial number 42-109508, but the order was canceled, and it was diverted to the US Navy.
• By 1943, it became part of the US Navy fleet with BuNo 43447 as an N2S-5.
